The video linked in email was about James Kim, who established university in North Korea. James Kim continuously spread his passion on education in China and North Korea. He is currently operating two universities. It has been almost a century since Korea is separated into two different countries. South Korea achieved advance development while North Korea showed slow rate of development. Education in North Korea is also much inferior to South Korea’s educational system and quality. James Kim built university in order to feed North Korea. I believe he is contributing to our future unification. I believe South and North Korea can peacefully unify in the future. To achieve this goal, South Korean administrations were continuously making North-friendly policies, such as Sunshine policy. But Sunshine policy was mainly about economic filed. James Kim had expanded the view into educational field as well as financial filed. I believe this achievement can support our relationship with North Korea.

Sunshine policy was proceeded when the former leader of North Korea passed away. North Korea was suffering from severe economic depression as well as food shortage which led civilians to starve. South Korean former president believed that it was a perfect time to enlighten North Korea from dictatorship. He believed South Korea can save and change North Korea. As a result, we sent money, food, meat and so on tons and tons of supplies under the purpose of saving North Korean civilians and, furthermore, to enlighten them. However, former North Korean leader distorted our intention and used the supplies to gain his personal profit. Since initial supply was ideally about money, former North Korean leader embezzled them. He lied to the South and pretended as if he was helping the people of North Korea. In modern days, Sunshine policy was evaluated partly failed policy which intention of being friendly to the North was good, but had limit on observing the routes of supplies.
